An Invitation to The St. Armand Ventures Experience.
If you are here because you have received an invitation to The St. Armand Ventures Experience then either I or someone I know has identified you to be a pretty amazing and extraordinary individual. Congratulations for living your life this way. You have been identified as someone who is at the pinnacle of their work and/or life; you are someone we really trust, admire extensively and we want to spend some time with you.
The St. Armand Ventures Experience is a semi-annual event that allows you to connect with those who are in our network. It takes place in a dynamic environment with extraordinary individuals who come together for a common purpose of Connecting at a higher level. This is no ordinary ‘networking’ event. It’s a game changer. It’s a unique environment. If you have received an invitation to join us then step up, enjoy the moment, set the bar yet a bit higher, once again, (don’t fret, you’ve been doing this your whole life), and loan yourself to the event, the business, the moment or the person who you are about to connect to. And please, whatever you do, don’t let us down. Do what you say you will do, acknowledge the rules of engagement, start the conversation on your very best note, keep your promises and push yourself further than you ever imagined possible. And expect the same of others.
Some of the rules of engagement at The St. Armand Ventures Experience:
1) Do what you say you will do. If you say you will call then call. If you say you will connect the entrepreneur who has the startup to an investor you know who has the investment fund then please do so. If you say you will look at that film for the filmmaker or check out someone’s organization then please take a look at that film or check things out. Follow through.
2) Be who you say you are. Don’t be shy, embarrassed, overly zealous or indulging. There is a vast representation of every type of person from all different types of industries, projects, careers and paths. As we like to say “Walk the walk and talk the talk.” Show us who you really are and know it’s perfectly wonderful to let us know where you’d like to be (maybe we can help). We’ll accept you as you are, without judgment and we’ll help you reach your dreams. But please do let us know where you are right now, at this point in time. This group will trust but verify. So, be who you are.
3) Be careful what you say. Having a bad day? Sorry to hear that, however, check any and all negativity at the door, save it for a rainy day but don’t bring it into the Experience. This is a celebration of the best of the best. A positive attitude is a must. It’s also a good idea to carry that motto throughout your time spent with those in the network long after the event.
4) Please take note of and completely commit to supporting our sponsors. Just like you, they have a goal. They are supporting us so that we will recognize them and so let’s do so. Buy their wine, drink their spirits, use their products, buy their books, frequent their restaurant or catering business, check out and talk to them about their services. Support our sponsors.
5) Be on time. There is a program in place and we want everyone to experience it together, from start to finish, in a timely manner. Thanks for respecting this.
6) Check all expectations at the door. We make no promises except that you will meet some great people and you will have a fabulous evening out. With that said, anything great can and usually will happen.
7) Accept our thanks in advance. We count on you to do all of the above. We have a saying which is ninety-nine percent of life is just ‘showing up doing what you say you will do’. Please show up for us. If you say you will be there then please be there, we’re counting on you as an integral piece to being a part of creating the magic of the experience. And so thanks, we appreciate it so very much.
